Question

Hi Group-
I'm not sure if this is the correct forum to ask this question, but I thought it would be easiest. Anyway, I am wondering if the reading sections match up with the chapters in the book. I see there are pages listed, but I am reading this on a kindle which doesn't provide the page numbers, so I just wanted to double check before I am supposed to be the summarizer.

  1. Sections 1 and 2 are both the same as Chapters 1 and 2, but Section 3 includes Chapters 3-5. Section 4 covers Chapters 6 and 7, Section 5 is just Chapter 8, and then Section 6 is Chapter 9 and the Conclusion.

  2. Now I have a question for you, Lacey. I have not used a Kindle, but am intrigued with the idea of having one. Is the lack of page numbering a pain if you want to go back to a particular passage or keep track of where you are in the book?

  3. Lark-
That helps a ton. I'm glad I checked, as I am the summarizer for section 3 and just summarizing chapter three would have been insufficient. So just to be clear, if I summarize chapters 3-5 I should be fine right? Thanks for your help.

As for your question, the lack of page numbers isn't a problem unless I have to do a reading assignment for a class. I am working on my Master's also and sometimes people will mention quotes from pages and that is a pain because it takes me forever to find them.

The nice thing is that I can type notes and underline or highlight passages and my notes are stored where I mark them. Also, it has a bookmark function so I can always find my place.

I actually LOVE it and I am lover of books so I was hesitant to change, but it was a gift and I use it all the time. It is nice to be able to carry so many books in one place, and they are usually cheaper and really with my coursework I have saved so much money on books that the Kindle would have paid for itself.

  4. Lacey, I am so sorry! I re-read the assignment listing, and Section 3 does NOT include Chapter 3. Pages 87-126 includes only Chapters 4 and 5. I should know better than to assume we read the entire book.
    My apologies!
